Sometime you're repeatedly prompted to provide a user name and a password to connect to Exchange. There are many reasons of the error in Skype for Business or Lync but you receive a message in Skype/ Lync that says it cannot connect to Exchange Server. If the wrong credentials are entered, or the user clicks cancel, the integration between Exchange and Skype/Lync fails. If those credentials fail, Lync prompts for credentials after you sign in. As soon as Lync has the correct mailbox server to connect to, it tries to authenticate by using the Skype for Business Online user credentials first. If the Autodiscover service on whichever Exchange server the user’s mailbox resides is unavailable, the integration between Exchange and Skype/ Lync fails. Skype for Business/Lync client will discover the Exchange server using autodiscover for Skype for Business user determines where it should look for the Exchange server, it uses Autodiscover to find the user’s mailbox server and connect to it.
Resolution How Skype for Business client connect to Exchange? History, voice mail, and Outlook-related features might be unavailable or out of date until the connection is restored. Lync will attempt to repair the connection until it is fully restored. Lync is experiencing connection issues with the Exchange server.Skype for Business/Lync is in the process of determining the location of Exchange Web Services.Cannot connect to Exchange Web Services to retrieve Calendar and Out of Office Information.History, voice mail and Outlook-related features will be unavailable. Lync will attempt to retry the connection. Skype for Business / Lync cannot connect to the Exchange server.Until then, you might see outdated info in Skype for Business. Once you are logged in to Microsoft 365 the home page gives you access to web versions of all of the products your license allows – Word, Excel, OneDrive etc. Note that I’ve said this applies to your current browser, if you use multiple browsers then you would need to perform the above for each browser you use, for more information on which browser you should be using for microsoft 365 see our blog post here The prompt should reappear and you can make the appropriate choice.
If when logging in you are not seeing this prompt it’s possible that at some point in time you said No to the prompt and also selected the “don’t show this again” checkbox, in this instance you may be prompted to enter your password/MFA details for every session you start, if that’s the case then try the following If you click No then you will be kept signed unless you
